Now through December 28th. Over 70 exhibitors will be selling handmade crafts, jewelry, ceramics, goodies, and more at the Christmas Craft Mall, 1705 Main Street in Great Bend, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, from November 23rd until December 28th.
Now through December 15th. The Shafer Art Gallery, 245 NE 30 Road, will be presenting the Festival of Trees, from November 24th until December 15th, gallery hours are Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 1:00 to 5:00 PM on Sundays.
Now through December 23rd. More than 20 life-sized Santas, hand crafted by a noted local artist, representing several countries from around the world will be on display at 1223 Main Street in Great Bend, from 1:00 to 9:00 PM, November 30th through December 23rd.
Now through December 31st. Beautiful and bright colored lights spill into the city parks, courthouse square, and down main street. Brit Spaugh Park and Zoo is home to the Wild Lights and the 12 days of Christmas comes to life in a lighted love letter at Veteran's Memorial Park. From 5:00 to 11:00 PM enjoy the Trail of Lights, November 30th through December 31st.
Now through December 29th. Free synthetic ice skating fun for the whole family. Ice skates are available for use during operation hours. Thursday and Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday 1:00 to 8:00 PM and Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Jack Kilby Square, 1400 Main Street in Great Bend, from November 30th until December 29th.
Tuesday, December 10th. The 4th Annual Young Professionals Ugly Sweater Christmas Party will take place at 6:30 PM, in the Calcara's heated barn, six miles west of Great Bend. Enjoy a free nacho bar, beverages, and chances to win prizes for the tackiest sweaters! Admission to the party is free, but you are asked to bring a donation of food or money for the Barton County Food Bank.
Saturday, December 21st. Santa's House will be open in the afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in front of the Hoisington Chamber of Commerce at 123 N. Main Street. For more information call 620-653-4311.
Saturday, December 14th. The Larned Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Kiddie Shopping Morning in Larned from 9:00 AM to Noon. Children ages 4 to 4th Grade are invited to make a craft for their parents. After that they are given a chance to go shopping for their parents. This event will take place at the Larned Area Chamber of Commerce at 502 Broadway in downtown Larned.
Saturday, December 14th. The Holiday Fling at the Zoo will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo. There will be free hot chocolate, a bake sale, and prizes. Donations will be accepted for Toys for Tots during the event, and all proceeds will benefit "Hand-in-Hand Consumer Run Organization". Festive attire is suggested for this event.
Sunday, December 15th. Tickets for the "Barton County's Got Talent" dinner theater are available for sale. The 5th Annual event is scheduled for Saturday, January 25th at Grace Communtiy Church, and includes a gourmet three-course meal before a talent showcase from a variety of volunteer performers in the Barton County area.
